Much of the music performed will be drawn from a CJO recording Jazz Vespers, recorded in 2007, and Encounter, recorded in 2014. Artistic director Paul Ferguson has continued to create new settings of the traditional Mass over the last 20 years.

The Songs of Hoagy Carmichael

Our 10th annual collaboration with The Musical Theater Project celebrates the songs of Hoagy Carmichael. A jazz legend, Hoagy composed (and often wrote lyrics for) a beloved chapter of the Great American Songbook besides writing for many films. Just think of “Skylark,” “Georgia on My Mind,” “Heart and Soul” and the Oscar-winning “In the Cool, Cool, Cool of the Evening.”
