Celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the birth of two jazz greats:
Miles Davis & John Coltrane
Friday, November 13th, 7:30 p.m.
Maltz Performing Arts Center
You may know the birth of cool, modal jazz, and electric rock fusion, but have you heard the cascading sheets of sound Paul Ferguson’s arrangements lend to "A Love Supreme", "The Maids of Cadiz", or "Kind of Blue" for a full jazz orchestra? Leading us through this evening will be many CJO favorites: Jack Schantz, Brad Wagner, George Shernit, Chris Burge, among others. You do not want to miss this celebration of musical innovations that changed jazz forever.
