Amplifying the World’s Heartbeat: An Evening with Jamey Haddad
Virtuosic percussionist Jamey Haddad brings his world sounds and mastery of over 1,000 instruments to the Maltz Stage for a unique jazz concert with a focus on the rhythm section. The evening will highlight Haddad’s decades-long career as Paul Simon’s percussionist, his collaboration with Yo-Yo Ma’s Silk Road Ensemble, and Haddad’s own group, Under One Sun. The future looks and sounds bright with Jamey Haddad and the CJO.

Celebrating Harold Arlen
In our 11th annual collaboration with The Musical Theater Project, Paul Ferguson and Bill Rudman will co-host a concert spotlighting one of America’s most innovative composers for Broadway and Hollywood: Harold Arlen. “Over the Rainbow” is just for starters! How about “Stormy Weather,” “I’ve Got the World on a String,” “Come Rain or Come Shine,” “That Old Black Magic” and “Paper Moon”? All of them and more will be performed by vocalists Evelyn Wright, Erin Keckan, and Michael Shirtz.

The Sounds of Quincy Jones: from Basie to Broadway to MJ
Quincy Jones, one of the most prolific and respected producers of all genres of music, began his career in jazz and as a trumpeter. Join us for an exciting celebration of his arrangements and compositions for the Count Basie Orchestra and Frank Sinatra beginning with excerpts from the acclaimed album, "Sinatra at the Sands", featuring the timeless hit, "Fly Me To the Moon." But the music doesn't stop there. The CJO will premiere new arrangements of hits produced for Michael Jackson, Broadway, Miles Davis, and others.
