Cleveland Jazz Orchestra Instrument Donation Program

We are so grateful to all our donors who believe in our mission of increasing awareness of appreciation of jazz.

As we are eager to reach the next generation of jazz lovers, we are helped by those who have donated instruments to our instrument donation program, which puts instruments into the hands of students in need. The CJO instrument donation program was launched during the 2021-2022 school year. Since the program’s inception, we have taken in over eight dozen instruments, which have then been cleaned and refurbished, before being passed along to students and schools.

Do you have any instruments you would like to donate?

I cannot thank you enough for the numerous instruments that you donated to [our] schools. Prior to your generosity, many students wanted to participate in the early band program but we simply did not have enough instruments…

We now have enough for the current enrollment of our students in the band program to start at the elementary and middle school level. We are so excited to see our program expand.

Instrument Donation Superstars!

We recently received a HUGE donation from Richard and Beth Schiemer, owners of Brighton Music Center in Pennsylvania, and want to give them a big shout-out. Thank you so much!!

We also want to recognize our friends at Academy Music in Cleveland Heights. They have helped us clean and refurbish the donated instruments we have received, to ensure they are in great condition for the students who receive them.
