At its height, The Buena Vista Social Club was the world’s hottest hub for musicians to meet and play during the 1940s. Located in Cuba, the Club was a melting pot of American Jazz, Cuban, Brazilian, and other regional music styles. The CJO, with some very special guests, will recreate the vibe and music of one of the most vibrant music scenes of the time. We’ll also toss in Brazilian beats and Latin heat…muy caliente

Latest from the CJO

Feb 13

On January 22nd the CJO joined the very talented jazz ensemble at Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School for a day of side-by-side instruction. That evening the students performed alongside the CJO and on their own to a packed house in the BBHS auditorium. The show wrapped up with a one-hour big band performance with the Cleveland Jazz Orchestra. Net proceeds from the event benefited Brecksville Broadview Heights Band program.

What a wonderful night of music, education, and community! Thank you to everyone at BBHS for making this collaboration possible–we can’t wait until next year!
