Mr. Fine has actively and financially supported many civic and charitable organizations including the Cleveland Chapter of the Variety Club, Shoes for Kids, the Siegel and Shuster Society (to honor the creators of Superman) and has served on the board of The Cleveland Jazz Orchestra in addition to many renowned area organizations.

Fine became aware of the Cleveland Jazz Orchestra in the late 80’s or early 90’s. They were doing a Stan Kenton Concert at the downtown Tri-C auditorium. Rowland Paolucci was conducting “fantastic Big Band sound,” Fine says. “I became a big fan, and several years later assisted in helping the band get an east suburban location at the auditorium at Fairmount Temple.”

“The most memorable moment I have of the Cleveland Jazz Orchestra was at a concert they did in 2010 honoring famous Jewish composers. Just prior to intermission, Paul Ferguson announced that they were going to do a piece by a not so famous Jewish composer. Surprise! Surprise! I recognized a song I had written when I was about 19. Keep swingin’ CJO.”

* Checks, Mastercard, Visa and Discover are accepted payments for auction items. Silent auction items can be paid for at intermission or after the concert.
