Latest from the CJO

The Cleveland Jazz Orchestra will soon announce its 2008-09 concert season.  We'll be performing on both the east and west sides of Cleveland with stops at The Beck Center and Fairmount Temple Auditorium.  Stay tuned for the season announcement coming soon.

The Cleveland Jazz Orchestra has received a $10,000 grant from the Gund Foundation in Cleveland in support of the 2008-09 season.  Thanks to the Gund Foundation, we'll be able to begin our season on a high note and continue the tradition in presenting the best in big band jazz on Northeast Ohio.

Pending board approval at its June 9, 2008 Annual Meeting, the Cleveland Jazz Orchestra will name current Co-Executive Director Erika Federmann to the position of Director of Development.  Federmann joined the CJO as assistant Executive Director in November of 2006 and has been a tremendous asset to the organization.  Federmann's responsibilities will include grant writing, foundation relations and overseeing the CJO's Annual Fund campaigns.  Other Co-Executive Director Marcus Bales will be named Business Manager responsible for all administrative, band and concert activities.  Bales joined the organization in August of 2007.

The Cleveland Jazz Orchestra is seeking business professionals with the following skill set to join our board of directors:

E-Commerce/Internet
Public Relations
Finance
Development
