This brilliant 2010 recording, featuring Morgan, Howie Smith, Dan Wall, Jack Schantz and Jamey Haddad, is a musical representation of the Fourth Way principles of the mystic G.I. Gurdjieff. The nine-part suite was made possible by a grant from Chamber Music America and the Doris Duke Charitable Trust.

The Cleveland Jazz Orchestra has introduced the Jazz Cheapskate Society, a society based on the ongoing stuggles of jazz musicians throughout the United States. Give $24.99 and help the CJO and get a free ticket to an upcoming CJO concert. In the end, all charter members of this "Great Society" are in a penny since the cost of an adult ticket to a CJO concert is $25.00. Cleveland Jazz Orchestra president Dan Leibundgut states "in a tough economy it's hard to give to your favorite organizations, we decided to have a little fun with this program limiting it to a $24.99 donation (which is tax deductable) and a goal of 100 charter members. Each charter member will receive a Surprise of Being - Live at Birdland CD. Donate to the CJO and get some great music, you can't beat it. The program will continue throughout the rest of the 2008-09 subscription season and as Leibundgut puts it, "we'll see what other interesting fundraising ideas we can come up with."
