Special compositions and arrangements by Associate Artistic Director Paul Ferguson, bassist Dave Morgan and other CJO favorites make this a can’t miss show of the season!

A 75-minute interactive family-oriented version of the CJO holiday concert features a pre-concert instrument “petting zoo” plus sing-along kid favorites like “Jingle Bells.”

CJO is proud to collaborate with Broadway School of Music and the Arts to present our second annual free outreach concert of the CJO Quartet, led by Chris Anderson. Presented at Bohemian Hall on November 18, 2012 @ 4pm, enjoy a one-hour, interactive “Intro to Jazz” concert complete with music, Q&A and family-friendly fun. A wonderful way to spend an afternoon and expose the whole family to this amazing ‘All American’ art form!

Led by Artistic Director Sean Jones, the CJO takes on the improvisational style of pianist and arranger Thelonious Monk for Mostly Monk. The concert pays tribute to Monk through his music and arrangements of other tunes full of dissonant harmonies and angular melodic twists. A can’t miss concert!

Returning by popular demand, CJO’s electric ensemble will blow the roof off the E. 14th Street Theatre in a concert showcasing jazz fusion from the 1970′s, 80′s and 90′s. Featuring Sean Jones and a small ensemble from Cleveland-based Hubbs Groove–an evening of contemporary jazz with electric guitar, bass, keyboard and drums.
