Largest Annual Benefit and Concert to Date for Cleveland Jazz Orchestra

More than 200 attendees turned out for this year's annual benefit and concert at Hawken School in Gates Mills this past Sunday, September 30th. Funds raised go toward outreach and educational efforts in our region's schools and communities.

Guests enjoyed performances previewing the coming season, commissioned original music, and a tribute to vic gelb!  The CJO also performed their most important and vital mission - that of jazz education - when Hawken school's band director and students sat in on several tunes!

The evening also featured a Silent Auction as well as a Live Auction that included the chance to have our own Paul Ferguson write an Original Composition for the winner. Other unique auction items included a Corey Kluber signed baseball shirt and private lessons with our CJO musicians.

Taste of Excellence did a spectacular job from the opening cocktail party to the closing desserts. A Special Thank You to Hawken School for hosting this year's event. Many thanks also to everyone who attended, those who volunteered or donated auction items, and to the following Corporate Benefit Sponsors:

Emerald Hospitality Associates, Inc.

Nimbus Investment Fund, LP

Don't miss 2019's Annual Benefit, when we'll kick off the celebration of 35 years of the CJO!
